The Camp Captains' Program is a new program in 2015, designed to meet the needs of our campers who bridge the gap of being part of staff & part of the stage production. The inaugural program is currently designed as an invitation only scholarship program to students at least 13 years of age who have been part of camp in the previous year. The program would entitle the participants to receive a 50% camp tuition discount. It's purpose is to create influential roles among fellow campers and be part of the behind-the-scenes details of pre-camp creative activities designed to build skills that are necessary for the success of stage productions focusing on subjects like set, prop, & costume design & fabrication, as well as attention to the front of house responsibilities of promotion & publication , & inter-personal development among camp students in such a way as to build internal leaders who can still use their strong stage talents as part of the show. Captains will develop leadership roles within camp, and entitle them with the high-coveted "kitchen privileges". Camp Captains will meet for a series of 4-5 Saturday afternoons prior to camp (estimated dates are June 13th-July 18th). They will be part of team building meetings with the staff at the end of each day of camp. Each Camp Captain will receive personalized mentorship training from the directorial team in this unique Tree of Life experience.
